Hello everyone, and welcome to my new blog: A Girl’s Bite Out! It has been a dream of mine to blog about the things that I truly love, and what better way to do this than by writing about food?
I truly have a passion for trying new foods and drinks, and I really look forward to sharing all of my adventures around Dallas with you. From burger joints to coffees and even cocktails, I will be bringing you only the best of the best in North Texas.
To celebrate this blog being brand new, I will be kicking it off with a two-part post about my recent visit to a prestigious part of town, which I had so much fun visiting. I absolutely love going to Legacy West in Plano, and my most recent visit was wonderful. From trying out a Tesla to perusing books on European travel at Barnes and Noble, it was truly one of the best days that I have had in awhile.
To kick off part one, I want to talk to you about none other than:
Who doesn’t love cupcakes? I’ve yet to meet anyone, so this seems like a good way to begin. I should not be writing about Sprinkles on an empty stomach- I can really feel my appetite for sweets coming on!
There is no doubt that Sprinkles is eye-catching; just look at how adorable their setup is:
To give you a bit of history: Sprinkles began in 2005 in Beverly Hills, CA. The company prides itself on being the “first cupcake bakery,” and most cupcake shops that you may have visited are likely modeled after them. The sweets shop is known for offering a rotating cupcake menu (weekly, monthly, and seasonal), cookies, and ice cream. There are a number of Sprinkles locations across the country, including one at Walt Disney World.
Notably, founder Candace Nelson is a judge on the popular Food Network show, Cupcake Wars. Who doesn’t love watching the Food Network?
I had been wanting to visit Sprinkles for a very long time, and I am so excited that I finally took the time to visit this cute little spot on the corner. The most notable feature, by far, is their cupcake ATM. I had heard about these little treasures for a long time, but this was my first time being fortunate enough to actually see one up close and in person. I felt like one of my childhood dreams had finally come true. So whimsical!
I feel the best way to describe the greatness of the Cupcake ATM is to show you:
I couldn’t believe how fast that cupcake came out. Not only was it given to me extremely fast, but it was quite honestly the best cupcake I had ever tasted. The buttercream frosting was thick and creamy, the vanilla confetti cake was moist, and the Sprinkles were on point. To top it all off, Sprinkles is now offering this option, appropriately named Sprinkle, all seven days a week!
Sprinkles can cater to absolutely any occasion. A quick look on their website will show you that there are delivery options available within 4 hours, and pickup in as fast as 2. They will decorate cupcakes with just about anything you can imagine, which makes Sprinkles the perfect choice for anything from a corporate party to a wedding or baby shower. You can even have the logo of your business or wedding photo put onto them!
There are so many flavors that I am dying to try, but it is important to note that different flavors are available on different days of the week, with select options being available every day. Although you can purchase the sprinkle cupcake option that I chose at any time, I will have to come on a Friday or Saturday to try the banana dark chocolate.
There are also a number of vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free options. Before this month is over, I really have to try the raspberry chocolate chip, and especially the red hot velvet with spicy cream cheese frosting and red hot candies. Looks like I’ve got a full schedule this month!
Looking for something a little bit more, say, creamy and delicious? Goldbely will even delivery Sprinkles’ signature ice creams, and I think we should take a moment to talk about those. Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream on top of a red velvet waffle cone? A Sprinkles Sundae between a cupcake top and bottom? Theses idea are the works of a true genius.
Katherineweeeats took this great photo of a Sprinkles Sundae in Red Velvet!
And if your sweet tooth still isn’t satisfied, Candace Nelson wrote The Sprinkles Baking Book, which has officially moved to the top of my wish list.
My conclusion? Five stars for Sprinkles! This is definitely going to be a staple for me during all of my visits to Legacy West, and perhaps even my next party or gathering. Absolutely delicious, and worth every penny.
Thank you all so much for reading, Stay tuned to my blog for Part 2: Starbucks Reserve!
